Your care pathway
The philosophy behind every consultation
Most GP experiences end at the consultation. Ours begins there. Here is exactly what happens at every step when you choose Her Healthcare.
Whether you need a single appointment or are looking for ongoing support, the pathway is seamless, coordinated, and centred entirely on your health — not a system.
Before your appointment

Before your appointment
A short health form — so nothing is wasted
Before your appointment you’ll receive a brief health assessment form. This lets your GP review your background and the reason for your visit in advance — so your consultation time is spent on you, not on admin.

Takes approximately 5 minutes to complete
Your GP reviews it before you meet — the consultation starts informed
Completely confidential and securely handled
During your appointment

What makes us different
Not another GP.
A different model entirely.
The NHS is overstretched and most private GPs replicate the same fragmented, time-pressured model. Her Healthcare was built to be neither of those things.
You are heard — fully
Longer, flexible consultations mean your GP has the time to understand the broader context of your health — not just tick a box and move on.
Standard 10-minute appointment, often cut short
Symptoms addressed in isolation
Flexible, unhurried consultation time
Full picture considered — not just the presenting issue
Preventive Care Plans
You should never have to chase a referral, re-explain your history, or be left wondering what happens next. Your GP manages the thread from start to finish.
You navigate multiple separate providers
Results arrive with no guidance on next steps
GP-led coordination across tests, referrals, specialists
Results reviewed and discussed by your GP directly
Built exclusively for women
Every element of our practice — our clinical team, our approach, our language — is designed around women’s health, physiology, and the transitions of a woman’s life.
Generic GP care not adapted for women's physiology
Hormonal and life-stage factors often overlooked
Consultations rooted in women's health expertise
Care that adapts across every stage of your life
Prevention, not just cure
We look ahead as well as at the immediate issue — identifying risk factors, recommending screenings, and building a care plan that keeps you well long-term.
Reactive care only — see a GP when something is wrong
No proactive health planning
Preventive screenings and health plan discussions
Lifestyle, nutrition and wellbeing woven into care
Continuity — the same GP every time
Wherever possible, you see the same GP across appointments. She knows your history. She remembers your context. That continuity makes every appointment better than the last.
Different doctor at every visit — repeat your story each time
No accumulated health picture
Continuity with your GP across consultations
Cumulative understanding of your health over time
Same-day access, always
When you need a GP, you need one now — not in three weeks. Our same-day and next-day slots mean you never have to put your health on hold.
2–6 week NHS waits for a GP appointment
Emergency appointments rushed and impersonal
Same-day online and in-person availability
Appointments that don't compromise on quality for speed
GP-led proactive pathways
The philosophy behind every consultation
Every GP appointment at Her Healthcare is guided by four core principles. These aren’t values on a wall — they shape how your GP thinks and acts during every consultation.
Life-stage focused care
Your GP considers where you are in your life — whether that’s adolescence, reproductive years, perimenopause, or healthy ageing — and tailors the consultation to your current stage. Health questions that matter to a 26-year-old are different from those that matter at 48. We treat them differently.
Your hormonal picture, reproductive health, and life transitions inform every clinical conversation.
Continuity of care
Wherever possible, you see the same GP across appointments. This isn’t just a preference — it’s a clinical priority. A GP who knows your history, your patterns, and your context makes genuinely better decisions on your behalf. That depth of relationship takes time to build. We build it.
Follow-up appointments begin from where you left off — not from a blank slate.
Preventive and proactive care
We don’t wait for you to become unwell before we act. Your GP looks ahead — discussing lifestyle factors, recommending relevant screenings, identifying early markers, and building a preventive plan around your health history and risk profile. The goal is to keep you well, for longer.
Proactive screening recommendations and care planning are built into every membership consultation.
Integrated and coordinated care
Your GP doesn’t work in a silo. When tests, investigations, or specialists are needed, she coordinates the next steps — reviewing results when they arrive, communicating directly with you, and managing the thread of your care so you never feel lost between providers. The fragmented healthcare experience ends here.
Results arrive at our clinic. Your GP reviews them and contacts you — you don’t chase us.
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you book
How quickly can I get an appointment?
Same-day and next-day appointments are regularly available, both online and in-person. You can book directly through the Her Healthcare website without a referral. After selecting your appointment type and time, confirmation is immediate. If you can’t find a suitable slot online, contact us directly and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Do I need a GP referral to book?
No. Her Healthcare is a self-referral service. You book directly through our website — no existing GP, referral letter, or prior registration is required. Simply choose your appointment type, pick a time that works for you, and book.
How long will my consultation last?
Appointments are scheduled within a 30-minute window, but they are not strictly time-limited. If your consultation needs more time, your GP will adapt accordingly. If it takes less, that’s fine too. The emphasis is always on thoroughness, not speed — you will never feel rushed out of an appointment.
Can I get a prescription during my appointment?
Yes. If a private prescription is clinically appropriate, your GP will issue it during the consultation — the same day. We can send it directly to your chosen pharmacy electronically, or provide it to you digitally. You do not need to wait for a follow-up appointment to receive a prescription.
What happens if I need a test or specialist referral?
Your GP will arrange any necessary investigations or referral letters during or after the consultation. Where possible, results are sent directly to our clinic so your GP can review them and contact you to discuss findings and next steps — removing the need for a separate appointment just to hear your results back.
What is the difference between a one-off appointment and a membership?
A one-off appointment is ideal if you have a specific health concern to address and don’t need ongoing care. Membership plans (from £49/month) are designed for women who want continuity — priority access to the same GP, proactive health planning, follow-up care, and a more connected long-term healthcare experience. Both are entirely valid choices and you are welcome to start with one-off appointments and transition to membership whenever it feels right.
Is my information kept confidential?
Yes, absolutely. Her Healthcare operates under a full clinical governance framework and all patient information is handled in strict accordance with UK data protection regulations and GMC confidentiality standards. Nothing is shared without your explicit consent. Our care environment is private, and all consultations — online and in-person — are fully confidential.
What is your cancellation policy?
If a consultation cannot go ahead due to circumstances on our side, you will receive a full refund. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we ask that you do so at least 24 hours before your appointment to receive a refund — this allows us to manage our GPs’ schedules and offer the slot to other patients. Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the consultation time may not be eligible for a refund, but if there are exceptional circumstances, please contact us and we will always review on a case-by-case basis.
