What to Expect

during your GP Appointment

Your GP Appointment Approach

During your consultation, your GP will approach your health through the lens of women’s healthcare. This means looking beyond isolated symptoms and considering factors such as hormonal health, lifestyle, reproductive health, and life stage.

Our consultations are guided by four key principles that shape how care is delivered in practice.

👩‍⚕️ Continuity of Care
Whenever possible, you will see the same GP for follow-up consultations. Your doctor will take time to understand your health history and continue building a clear picture of your health over time.

🔎 Life-Stage Focused Care
Your consultation takes into account the stage of life you are in — whether related to reproductive health, hormonal changes, or healthy ageing.

🛡 Preventative & Proactive Care
Your GP may discuss lifestyle factors, early symptoms, or preventative health measures that support long-term wellbeing.

🔗 Integrated & Coordinated Care
If tests, investigations, or specialist referrals are needed, your GP will guide the next steps and help coordinate your care.

After booking, you will receive a pre-consultation health assessment form. This helps your GP understand your health background and the reason for your visit before the appointment, allowing the consultation to focus on your concerns and make the best use of your time.

Appointments are scheduled within a 30-minute window, but consultations are not strictly time-limited. If more or less time is needed, your GP will adapt the consultation accordingly in discussion with you.

Yes. Following your discussion with the GP, you and your doctor will agree on the most appropriate next steps for your care. Depending on your needs, this may include prescriptions, referral letters, medical certificates, investigation requests, or recommendations for follow-up care.

If further investigations or specialist referrals are recommended, your GP will guide the next steps. Where possible, results can be sent directly to our clinic so your GP can review them and contact you to discuss the findings and next steps.

Not necessarily. When results are sent to our clinic, your GP reviews them and we will contact you to discuss the outcome and any next steps. This helps avoid the need for multiple separate appointments with different providers.

You are welcome to book a one-off GP consultation for a specific concern. Some patients choose ongoing support and follow-up care and apply for our membership plans, while others simply need help with a particular issue — both options are absolutely welcome.

If a consultation cannot take place due to circumstances on our side, we will provide a full refund.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled consultation in order to receive a refund. This allows us to manage the GP’s schedule and make the appointment available to other patients.

If an appointment is booked within 24 hours of the consultation time, or cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, refunds may not always be possible. However, if there are exceptional circumstances, please contact our team and we will review the situation and do our best to assist where possible.
